A Russian photographer, poet, journalist and collector of Russian historical photography.

Alexander was born in 1970 in Rybinsk, Yaroslavl region. In 1987, he graduated from high school and entered the Military Institute of Foreign Languages. In 1991, he completed a training internship at the Beijing Institute of Foreign Languages (Beijing, China). After graduating from the Military Institute of Foreign Languages with Master of Arts degree (Journalism and foreign languages: Chinese, English), he served as an officer in the Russian Pacific Fleet headquarters (Vladivostok). A participant in the long-range NAVY expedition (“Admiral Vinogradov” flagship) from Vladivostok to the Persian Gulf and a member of the historical joint naval operations of the United States, British and French Navies. As a liaison officer, Alexander was one of the first 5 Russian naval officers who had landed on the deck of USS aircraft carrier (USS “Ranger”) in October 1992.
Since 1999, he has been engaged in art photography. He has participated in numerous photographic exhibitions and published in various magazines. The author's works are kept in museums and private collections in Russia and abroad. Alexander photographs in various genres, preferring classical analog black-and-white and pictorial photography. He shoots with Leica, Rolleiflex, Fuji, Contax, Yashica, Konica, Holga cameras, as well as George Kolosov monocles. A distinctive feature of his creativity is the frequent combination of photography with fiction and poetry.

Nominee of several national poetry awards. In 2018, the first CD "Talk to me, my dear" was released, on which poetic works in the author's performance, as well as romances based on the author's poems and music by modern Russian composers, sound. In May 2021, the poet's book of poems "The Road to Light" was published. In April 2022, the second CD "Assuage my Sorrows" was released, on which poetic works are played in author's performances to the music of Russian composers.
